Yesterday, I took Max's kayak out and went exploring. There are several old canals dug through the marsh. I ran across some oysters while out, so I grabbed enough for us to eat, and threw them in the cargo hold on the kayak and headed back home. It was a beautiful day, a wonderful meal, and the boys had fun helping get the slimy things out of their shells.

Max and Noah Are Coming Home

Well, almost a week without the boys. It's been fun, we took a walk on the beach at night, we drove around New Bern and spent a day. visited one of the museums, watched some movies, and spent a day on the beach. The boys will be home today! We've missed them. Here's a shot taken from the ferry during one of our crossings this weekend.

Clouds Hanging Over The Waterfront

After a day of installing water and fuel hoses, and deck fittings, I thought I'd carry the camera down to the waterfront and snap a shot or two. The boys are gone to Grandmas for the week, so it's been real peaceful on the boat with just Budge and I. Very nice! We miss them though...

MRS. DAVIS...we have your website, but we need your email address....please email it to sailingmorgans@yahoo.com

Noah's Day

I asked Noah to tell about his day. The chattering noise is coming from the centerboard (under his right arm at the start of the video). When water passes over it, the board vibrates in the well....almost sounds like a motor.

Saturday With Noah

There's a small dinghy down the river from where our boat is docked that's been full of water and pine cones and moss....been that way for some time. I spoke to the owner and asked if I could pull it out and clean it up for her. She happily said "sure", so I scrubbed the bottom, removed all the barnacles, and went through a bleach bottle and some scrubbies. After a coat of paint on the bottom and some attention, she looked a lot better. In return, she let Noah and I take it for a spin....so we spent a beautiful day yesterday out on the water. Stopped and had a picnic, and enjoyed some of the scenery in the local creeks. What a great little boat, what a great Saturday!

Seagull Crossing

While crossing the Nuese on the Minnesott Beach Ferry, we always find a flock of these guys following the crossing ferry looking for food. This turned out to be a pretty decent shot.
