South Winds and Northerly Sailing
During our last trip back from Cape Lookout we had favorable winds to sail
(instead of motoring) the majority of Adams Creek....
this is a short video of the boat quietly making its way up the river
you just can't beat shutting down the motor, and enjoying the peace with wind in the sail

Field Trip to Aurora
After school yesterday, the boys and mom decided to take a field trip to the Aurora Fossil Museum. You can dig for fossils there. We came home with a large piece of mica, a small fragment of a geode, about 20 shark teeth and a couple of new photos......it was a good day!

Moments Like This
I know it's a lot of sunsets, but it's moments like this that we love..... this was taken as we sailed / motored to Bath, NC during our Thanksgiving vacation..... the lights on the bank are from PCS Phosphate, an extremely large Phosphate mine near/in Aurora, NC..... it reminds me of an old world city skyline..... sure was a pretty sight!
